The Maltings is also home to the Maltings Monthly Market, one of Surrey’s largest and longest-running markets, providing a platform for independent traders, makers and creative businesses. Visitors can also enjoy the Riverside Café, serving seasonal dishes made with locally sourced ingredients, alongside pre-show dining for selected performances.
The Maltings preserves Farnham’s rich craft tradition by helping makers of all kinds to thrive. In addition to its public events, the Maltings offers studios, rehearsal rooms, exhibition spaces and performance areas, supporting a wide range of makers, artists, performers and independent businesses.
A lively community hub throughout the week, the Maltings offers activities for all, from parent and baby sessions and youth programmes to adult learning, wellbeing activities and community groups. Its outreach projects and educational initiatives extend beyond the building, encouraging people of all ages and backgrounds to discover new skills and engage with the arts through hands-on participation.
