Farnham Maltings
As part of a town celebrated for its craft heritage, Farnham Maltings plays an important role in its cultural identity. It hosts a varied year-round programme including theatre, live music, comedy, film, exhibitions and creative workshops, alongside opportunities for learning and community participation.
The Maltings regularly comes alive with festivals and events, from intimate craft workshops to larger gatherings that attract visitors from across the country, including Unravel and Thread, which celebrate textiles, making and creativity.
It is also home to the Maltings Monthly Market, one of Surrey’s largest and longest-running markets. Held on the first Saturday of each month, it features over 200 stalls offering antiques, vintage finds, artisan produce, crafts and handmade goods, creating a lively indoor-outdoor experience that supports independent traders and small creative businesses.
