Throughout September, enjoy a series of special scones inspired by Farnham’s rich heritage, with one-third of all sales donated to local charities. Each week features a unique creation celebrating a different part of the town’s history.
7th-13th September (The Lions): Farnham Rarebit – a cheese scone topped with our special Farnham rarebit and grilled until golden and bubbling, inspired by Farnham’s famous hop-growing heritage.
14th-20th September (The Hedgehogs): Apples & Pears – a warm pear scone served with clotted cream and caramelised apple spread, celebrating the historic orchards once grown within the grounds of Farnham Castle.
21th-27th September (MBC): Cheese & Wood Smoked Bacon – a toasted cheese scone filled with thick-cut wood smoked bacon from Farnham Family Butchers, inspired by the area’s historic woodland traditions.
28th September-4th October (Phyllis Tuckwell): Cornmeal Scone – a traditional cornmeal scone served warm with homemade honey butter, reflecting Farnham’s long-standing role as a centre for grain milling and baking.
